A private school in Surrey, Hampton Court House, has become the first school in the country to delay lessons until the afternoon for its teenage pupils.
The school made the decision following research that found teenagers had a "biological disposition to going to bed late and struggling to get up early." It was also linked to research into the circadian rhythms of teenagers.
